Welcome to the last installment (part 5) of our 5-part series, ‘Healing from the Outside In.’ Today we are discussing the physical layer. Physical wellness is directly related to your Etheric Layer (or physical layer) as it is the aura closest to the physical body, creating a bridge from the physical body to your higher energy body. It is connected to your Base (root) Chakra.
What is the Base Chakra?
This chakra is located at the base of the spine at the tailbone and is the foundation for the other chakras. It governs your sense of stability, safety and security. This chakra is based on meeting your essential needs, like food, water and shelter.
Negative Effects
The Etheric Layer plays a vital role in how you feel and think because your physical and mental health are closely connected. As an integral counterpart to the physical body, blockages in this layer and in the Base Chakra can impact how you feel emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. These blockages can be caused by a range of things, including poor diet, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, stress and poor air quality.
Some effects you may be experiencing could be:
- Loss of focus
- Dizziness
- Headaches
- Colon issues
- Lower back issues
- Leg issues
Clearing the Etheric Layer
We are currently in what seems like a constant shift. There are varying moments of intensity that come and go. Our physical bodies are undergoing tremendous change right now because our energy bodies are constantly battling to stay aligned and keep us healthy. But we can take advantage of the spaces in between and adhere to some best-practices to help us with these intense moments and strengthen our Etheric Layer so that we can maintain our sense of security and health.
A strong Etheric Layer has the capability of protecting you against negative influences, here are some ways to clear your Etheric Layer and Base Chakra
- Meditation
- While meditating, visualize letting go of negativity
- Drink room temperature water (1/2 of body weight in oz. per day)
- Take an Epsom salt bath in the evening
- Breathe in fresh air whenever possible
- Take deep, cleansing breaths
- Exercise
We hope you have enjoyed our series “Healing from the Outside-In” as much as we have. We intentionally ended with this layer and chakra because we felt it was important to focus on the physical layer that anchors us to the earth. However, all of your layers are valuable and should be cared for because they care for you, they are your “bubble wrap” around your body and will always work better if you keep them in tip-top shape.
