Have you ever noticed how being near water instantly shifts your energy?
Whether it’s the rhythmic crash of ocean waves, the gentle current of a flowing river, or the stillness of a quiet lake, water holds an innate ability to help us discharge frequencies and energies that we may have unknowingly absorbed…frequencies that aren’t even ours to carry.
In today’s world, we move through countless energetic exchanges every day. Conversations, social media, busy environments. All of it can imprint on our energetic field, sometimes leaving us feeling heavy, foggy, or disconnected from our true selves. But water…water invites release. It offers a return.
Lately, I’ve been reading Blue Mind by Wallace J. Nichols, and it’s been both affirming and inspiring. The book explores the science behind why we feel calmer, healthier, and more connected when we’re in, on, or near water. It’s fascinating to learn how deeply our brains and bodies respond to water and it completely aligns with what I’ve felt energetically for years. Water isn’t just an element. It’s a frequency, a medicine, a portal.
In fact, one of the reasons we’ve recently moved closer to the coast is because of this calling. The ocean has long been a place of deep connection for me. A place where I can hear my own inner voice more clearly and feel held by something greater. This move feels like a return to rhythm. A return to flow. A deepening of the alignment I’ve been cultivating in my life and my work.
And here’s the beautiful part: you don’t have to live near the coast to receive the healing gifts of water. You can step into this connection anywhere. Your bathtub can become a sacred container. Your daily shower can be a gentle energetic cleanse. A local creek, lake, or even a fountain in a city park can offer you the reset you’re seeking. It’s all about intention and presence.
When we spend time with water, even in simple everyday ways, we give ourselves permission to let go. To shed what isn’t ours. To allow the natural, flowing element of water to cleanse our energy field. It doesn’t require effort, just presence.
Water reminds us of our own nature. Like water, we are meant to flow. To shift and change. To be still when needed and to move when guided. When we allow water to support us, we reconnect more deeply to our inner world and reawaken our connection to the divine source within us.
This isn’t just about relaxation; it’s about realignment.
The next time you find yourself near water, whether you’re walking by a stream, soaking in a bath, or simply standing in the shower, take a moment to pause. Breathe. Feel the energy moving through and around you. Notice what softens, what clears, and what emerges in its place.
You might even want to try this simple practice:
- Pause. Breathe. Feel your feet on the earth and take three deep, intentional breaths.
- Set an intention. Silently ask the water to help you release what no longer serves you, especially anything you may have picked up that isn’t yours.
- Listen within. Notice what emotions, sensations, or insights begin to surface.
- Give thanks. Offer gratitude to the water for supporting your healing and connection.
✨ Then, take a few moments to journal:
- What did I feel release from my energy field?
- What wisdom did I receive from the water?
- How did I feel more connected to myself or my divine source?
Water is a messenger. A healer. A sacred mirror reminding us of who we truly are: flowing beings connected to a greater current of love, clarity, and divine wisdom.
Water heals more than the body, it restores the soul. This is holistic health in motion: body, mind, and spirit in harmony with nature’s rhythm.
Let it guide you home 🌊
