Navigating the Shift: Trust, Let Go, and Rise
As the British say, “Keep Calm and Carry On.” A simple phrase, yet so relevant in today’s world.
I was recently reminded that we can still face disappointment even in the best circumstances. Life throws curveballs, and with so much dismantling and change in the air, it’s easy to feel unsteady. But this is precisely when we need to stay grounded and centered.
We are at the end of a major cycle, what the Hindus refer to as the Yugas. We are literally in the midst of leaving behind darkness and chaos and evolving into something new. Our consciousness, along with our physical bodies, is shifting into a place we have not yet experienced. This transformation can feel unsettling, but it is also a time of great opportunity.
What helps me is my faith and trust in the Great Mystery. For you, it might be God, the Universe, or another form of Higher Power. Whatever you subscribe to, these are unprecedented times for leaning into something greater than ourselves. There is wisdom in surrender, allowing ourselves to trust that what is unfolding is for the highest good, even when it doesn’t seem that way in the moment.
The best way we can influence the outer world is to work on our inner world. This is a powerful time to examine what’s not working in our lives, to let go of what no longer serves us, and to create space for the goodness that lies ahead. As we transition into the next epoch of time, known as the Satya Yuga, we are being called to step into the highest versions of ourselves.
Pam Gregory, one of my favorite astrologers, recently said: “Don’t give life support to what is already dying.” This is a powerful reminder to be mindful of where we place our energy and attention. Are we clinging to old stories, outdated beliefs, or ways of being that no longer align with who we are becoming? Or are we focusing on growth, expansion, and possibility?
Staying positive isn’t about ignoring challenges; it’s about choosing where to direct our energy. Every ripple of positive energy we send out shifts the collective. When we hold the vision for a brighter today and a brighter tomorrow, we contribute to the transformation of the world.
This is a time to hold true to ourselves, our values, and our beliefs while also being willing to change and see things from a broader perspective. The evolution of consciousness is not a passive process; it requires us to actively engage with our own growth, to remain open, and to trust in the unfolding of life.
Change is inevitable, but how we move through it is a choice. Let’s choose to be the change we wish to see.
5 Ways to Navigate, Trust, Let Go, and Rise
- Cultivate a Grounding Practice – Whether it’s meditation, breathwork, journaling, or simply walking barefoot on the earth, staying grounded helps anchor us amidst change.
- Be Mindful of Where You Place Your Energy – What we focus on grows. Instead of feeding fear or resistance, shift your attention toward possibility, healing, and expansion.
- Let Go of What No Longer Serves You – Old patterns, relationships, or beliefs that are no longer in alignment with your highest self must be released to make space for what’s coming.
- Trust in Divine Timing – Even when things seem uncertain, trust that the universe is always working behind the scenes for your highest good. Patience and faith go hand in hand.
- Stay Connected to Your Community – We are not meant to navigate this alone. Surround yourself with like-minded souls who uplift and support you on this journey.
In this time, I am reminded of a powerful quote from Cloud Atlas:
“Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb we are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future. I believe there is another world waiting for us. A better world. And I’ll be waiting for you there.”
