I’ve been around animals all of my life. For my tenth birthday, my mom and dad bought me a beautiful Eskimo Spitz. His name was Major and he was this beautiful white fluff ball. He was also my very best friend. From about 10 to 17, I would sit and talk to Major about all the things going on in my life and I remember his presence bringing me so much peace and happiness. There were times when I thought Major was really the only one that understood me. I remember after sitting with him or even sometimes crying with him, hugging on him, petting him I would instantly feel better. It was like Major took my sadness away. Knowing what I know now, that’s exactly what he did. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge way too early for me but I am certainly grateful the for the time we had together.

As I have learned more and more about energy through years, I discovered that our four legged furry friends have chakras too. Just like us, they have a crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root chakra. They have energy fields that also surround their body.

Through those fields, as we often do, our animals sense the vibration of someone or situation first. They are very in tune with energy as they don’t have the filters that humans have. This is often times why our pets may growl or run away from people they meet because they sense vibration first and know immediately when something doesn’t feel right to them. They are also very dialed into our emotions and can usually sense what is going on with us or around us. So they typically express what we sense.

Because they are so loyal, animals tend to take on the energy and emotion of their human. They act and react accordingly depending on the situation. If we are going through something traumatic or if we’ve had a really hard day at work or just plain grumpy our animal friends will typically take that from us just by being near us.

That is why energetic maintenance is so important for both ourselves and our pets. It is important to care for our four legged friends energetically as much as it is to feed them or water them. This will assist in maintaining their overall health and well being especially as they grow older.

Caring for them energetically is very simple and only has to take a few minutes. Energy flows through the palms of our hands so if you rub your hands together you can activate your energy before petting them setting the intention that they release any energies that they have picked up from you or anyone else. Then just simply pet them like you normally would brushing your hands down their back and all around.

Our sweet felines can be a little finicky at times but it’s good to clear them when they allow it.

Animals are some of our greatest teachers and they will teach us all about unconditional love and compassion if we are open enough to learn it.
